"There is also no shortage of interest in the primary for the new District 10 state Assembly seat, where six candidates have filed.
The field consists of San Rafael Councilman Marc Levine; Alex Easton-Brown, an Inverness sociologist; Connie Wong, a Corte Madera real estate agent and a retired California Air National Guard major; H. Christian Gunderson, a Petaluma chiropractor and family counselor; and Assemblyman Michael Allen, who moved to Marin soon after redistricting erased his Santa Rosa-based district. All five of these candidates are Democrats. Peter Mancus, a Sebastopol lawyer, filed in Sonoma County; he could not be reached Friday for information regarding his party affiliation.
Local election officials said the Assembly race may be closed now because Allen, an Assembly incumbent, is running; they're waiting for confirmation from the Secretary of State's office."
