Drakes Bay Oyster Company deserves our support

In our zeal to help the environment we can't destroy the companies that are doing their best to work with the environment. If there is a company that exemplifies environmental protection and sustainability, Drakes Bay Oyster Company is it.

I visited the oyster company and was lucky enough to get a tour from manager Scott Yancy. He told me how they produce 60% of the oysters in California and their long history stretches back almost 100 years. They have
three different federal organizations checking the quality of oysters, including the FDA. They are also working with local universities to create reefs to help reestablish local oyster population. Drakes Bay is a company that deserves our support not only for what they provide, but their long tradition of supporting the environment.
