Met with the Sonoma County Chiropractic Association
I recently had a chance to go to the Sonoma County Chiropractic Association meeting and meet some of the great chiropractors in our area. I introduced who I am, but more importantly we talked about the concerns of our local doctors, such as lack of state regulation on health insurance companies that allows them to arbitrarily raise rates any time they wish. As a doctor one of my greatest joys has been helping patients get out of pain. As your state assemblyman my greatest pleasure will be getting California out of pain.

Occupy Santa Rosa
It was a great experience to be at Occupy Santa Rosa surrounded by all the enthusiasm. It reminded me of when I was 12 protesting the Vietnam war. What I do see though, is that the vision that the organizers have is so huge that they need to start with a baby step first to keep the movement going. My suggestion is have everyone they know close their accounts in the big banks (Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citibank), as a way to start creating the change they want. Transfer the money to local banks and credit unions (Exchange Bank, Bank of Sonoma, Bank of Marin, Redwood Credit Union). Our local banks and credit unions have proven that they care about local people and local businesses.

Attended the Congressional Debate in Petaluma
I went to the debate down at City Hall in Petaluma on Tuesday night. It was an interesting evening and gave me a chance to consider many of the issues facing California now. Also got to meet Congressional candidates Jared Huffman and Stacey Lawson.
